学院简介

中国农业大学工学院系20028月学校整合工学门类的部分骨干学科专业群,由原机械工程学院、车辆与交通工程学院和农业工程研究院三个单位共同组建而成,其发展历史源于上世纪50年代初期北京农业机械化学院创办农业机械设计制造专业和农业机械化专业,以曾德超院士为主要代表的老一代知名专家教授为学院的奠基与发展做出了卓越贡献。

历经60多年的发展,工学院现有教职工150人,其中教授41人、副教授63人、讲师16人。师资队伍中包括中国青年科技奖1人,北京市教学名师4人、北京市优秀教师2人、宝钢优秀教师奖获得者10人、享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家6人、农业部有突出贡献中青年专家3人、农业科研杰出人才2人,农业部产业技术体系岗位专家8人、教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”6人、北京市科技新星4人。

学院下设农业工程、车辆工程、机械设计制造和机电工程4个系,教学科研办公用房总面积达2.3万平方米,设施、设备以及科研、教学条件先进。学院设有机械与农业工程国家级实验教学示范中心、机械与农业工程国家级虚拟仿真实验教学中心、北京市高等学校涉农工程类大学生示范性校内创新实践基地、机械工程训练中心和“互联网+”大学生创新创业中心,设有现代农业装备与设施教育部工程研究中心、农业部土壤-机器-植物系统技术重点实验室、农业部可再生能源清洁化利用技术重点实验室、现代农业装备优化设计北京市重点实验室、农业部河北北部耕地保育科学观测实验站、农业部保护性耕作技术研究中心、国家农产品加工技术装备研发分中心、中国农业大学农业工程研究院、中国农业大学中国农业机械化发展研究中心、中国农业大学3D打印技术研究中心等。

学院学科建设涉及农业工程、机械工程一级学科和农产品加工及贮藏工程二级学科。其中,农业工程学科目前是该一级学科全国唯一的国家重点学科,在2009年和2012年教育部组织的全国学科排名评估中均以较大优势位列第一,2017年在教育部第四次学科评估中获评A+等级;2019年,农业工程专业获批国家一流本科专业建设点;农业机械化及其自动化专业获批北京市一流本科专业建设点;2020年,新增农业智能装备工程新工科新兴本科专业。机械工程学科由1959年创办的首批国家重点学科农业机械设计制造发展而来,2007年获得一级学科博士授予权,其中车辆工程二级学科为部级重点学科,2017年在教育部第四次学科评估中获评B-等级。农产品加工及贮藏工程二级学科方向为国家重点学科方向,农产品干燥方向产生了首批全国百篇优秀博士论文。2016-2019年,以学科教师为第一完成人获得的国家技术发明奖、国家级教学成果奖和国家科学技术进步奖各1项,获得省部级及以上成果奖项14项、制定专业领域标准16项、教师出版专著7项、作为第一单位承担国内外重大设计与展演任务4项。

学院人才培养体系完备,现有本科生1081名,硕士研究生443名,博士研究生256名,留学生12名。设有农业工程和机械工程博士后流动站;农业工程、机械工程一级学科博士、硕士学位授权点;拥有农业机械化工程、农业工程、车辆工程、机械设计及理论、机械制造及其自动化、机械电子工程和农产品加工及贮藏工程等7个二级学科博士授权点和硕士授权点;设有机械工程硕士专业学位授权领域,以及农业工程与信息技术农业硕士专业学位授权领域;设有农业工程、机械工程两个本科专业大类,包括农业机械化及其自动化、农业工程、机械设计制造及其自动化、车辆工程、机械电子工程、工业设计6个本科专业。农业机械化及其自动化、车辆工程2个专业是教育部高等学校特色专业,2018年车辆工程专业通过教育部工程教育专业认证,被纳入《华盛顿协议》互认名单,农业机械化生产学和机械制造工程学为国家精品课程;农业工程专业为国家级一流专业,农业机械化及其自动化专业为北京市一流专业。

按照“强化优势、突出创新、注重质量、再上水平”的建设思路,学院瞄准国际科技发展前沿和国家重大战略、产业需求,围绕农业机械化发展战略研究、旱地农业保护性耕作技术与机具、农田作业机械、农产品干燥理论与技术装备以及农产品加工、饲料加工、生物质工程、精准农业、农业机器人等技术装备和智能农业装备、农业装备数字化设计与虚拟现实、工业设计等优势科研领域,形成了特色和较强的学术影响力,其中保护性耕作技术装备、农业生物质工程等重点科研团队先后入选教育部“创新团队发展计划”和农业部“农业科研杰出人才及其创新团队”。多年来,学院在为国家制定相关政策法规、发展规划、行业标准提供了重要决策咨询的同时,先后取得了一大批重要科技成果,为推进我国现代农业产业升级和科技进步发挥了重要作用,其中获得国家科技进步二等奖以上成果13项,国家科技发明二等奖2项,教育部、农业部及其他省部级及其以上科技成果奖励50余项。近年来,全院年均发表SCIEI收录论文260余篇;年均获授权国家专利190余件,其中授权国家发明专利90余件。

学院秉承“以人为本,人才强院”的办学理念,以培养具有创新精神和实践能力的高素质人才为核心目标,重在培养学生的科技创新实践能力,在课程建设和教学改革方面取得了丰硕的成果。先后获得国家教学成果奖2项,北京市教学成果一等奖5项,其他省部级教学成果奖10余项。“机械设计制造系列专业基础课程教学团队”获国家级优秀教学团队称号。实践教学和创新能力培养成效显著,近4年来在各类学科和科技大赛中获得全国及省级以上各类奖项200余项,包括中国农业机械人大赛特等奖2项、全国大学生智能农业装备创新大赛特等奖2项,美国ASABE国际大学生机器人设计竞赛冠军3项,“挑战杯”首都大学生课外学术科技作品竞赛特等奖1项。人才培养效果得到社会广泛认可,毕业生就业质量常年位居学校前列。

学院国际合作和交流日益广泛。先后与美国、德国、加拿大、英国、荷兰、挪威、日本、韩国、泰国、澳大利亚、俄罗斯、乌克兰、以色列等20多个国家和地区的60多所著名大学建立了较为密切的合作关系,承担了包括欧盟框架计划项目以及中英、中澳、中日、中比、中波等双边国际科技合作项目20多项。与美国普渡大学农业与生物工程系建立有农业工程专业本科生“2+2”联合培养项目,与英国哈珀亚当斯大学建立了双硕士学位研究生国际合作培养项目,与美国田纳西大学/美国橡树岭国家实验室建立了中美百名环境能源博士国际合作培养项目等。

 

College of Engineering (COE) of China Agricultural University (CAU) was founded in August 2002, by integrating three former colleges, College of Mechanical Engineering, College of Vehicle and Transportation Engineering and College of Agricultural Engineering Academy, due to the policy of combination of some key discipline groups of Engineering in CAU. The history of COE dates from early 1950s, when the Subject of Agricultural Machinery Design and Manufacturing and the Subject of Agricultural Mechanization were founded by Beijing Mechanized Agriculture College. The elder well-known experts and professors, represented by academician Zeng Dechao, have made outstanding contributions to the foundation and development of COE.

After more-than-60-year development, COE has a staff of 150, including 41 professors, 63 associated professors and 16 lecturers. Among these staff, there are 1 awardee of China Youth Science and Technology Award, 4 awardees of Beijing Prominent Teachers, 2 awardees of Beijing Outstanding Teachers, 10 awardees of Baogang Outstanding Teachers, 6 experts receiving Special Government Allowance of the State Council, 3 awardees of Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), 2 awardees of Prominent Talents of Agricultural Scientific Research by MARA, 8 experts of Industrial Technology System of MARA, 6 members supported by the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of ME and 4 awardees of Beijing New-star Plan of Science and Technology.

COE consists of 4 departments, including Department of Agricultural Engineering, Department of Vehicle Engineering, Department of Mechatronic Engineering and Department of Mechanical Design and Manufacturing, with an area of about 23,000m2 well-equipped with advanced teaching, research and practical learning facilities. COE possesses many types of key centres and laboratories, such as the National Model Centre for Experiment and Teaching of Mechanical and Agricultural engineering, the National Centre for Experiment and Teaching of Virtual Simulation of Mechanical and Agricultural Engineering, the CAU Base for Innovation and Practice of High-education Institutions related to Agriculture in Beijing, the Mechanical Engineering Training Centre (the workshop) and the ‘Internet Plus’ Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of CAU Students, the ME Engineering Research Centre for Modern Agricultural Equipment and Facilities, the MARA Key Laboratory of the Technology of Soil-Machine-Plant System, the MARA Key Laboratory for Clean Utilization Technology of Renewable Energy, the Beijing Key Laboratory for Optimization and Design of Modern Agricultural Equipment, the MARA Science Observation Station for Arable Land Conservation in North Hebei, the MARA Research Centre for Conservation Tillage Technology, the National Sub-centre for Research and Development of Agricultural Product Processing Technology and Equipment, the Research Centre for Agricultural Engineering of CAU, the CAU Research Center for the Development of China Agricultural Mechanization and the CAU Research Center for 3D Printing Technology.

The discipline construction of COE involves two first-level disciplines, Agricultural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, and a second-level discipline, Agricultural Product Processing and Storage Engineering. The discipline of Agricultural Engineering is currently the only as the national key discipline around this first-level area in China, ranking the top with significant superiority in both 2009 and 2012 National Discipline Ranking Evaluation organized by the Ministry of Education. Meanwhile, it was awarded as A+ in the Fourth Discipline Evaluation by the Ministry of Education in 2017. In 2019, the subject of Agricultural Engineering was approved as the National Pilot Construction for the Top-class Undergraduate Major and that of Agricultural Mechanization and Automation was approved as the Beijing Pilot Construction of the Top-class Undergraduate Major. In 2020, Agricultural Intelligent Equipment Engineering, with the background of New Engineering Construction, will be added as an emerging undergraduate subject. The discipline of Mechanical Engineering is developed from Agricultural Machinery Design and Manufacturing, which was the first batch of national key disciplines founded in 1959. In 2007, Mechanical Engineering was approved as a first-level discipline for doctor-degree granting. Vehicle Engineering, as a second-level discipline of Mechanical Engineering, was awarded as a ministerial key discipline. In 2017, the subject of Mechanical Engineering was awarded as B- in the Fourth Discipline Evaluation by the Ministry of Education. Furthermore, the direction of Agricultural Products Processing and Storage Engineering was awarded as a National Key Discipline Direction and one of 100 National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation was accepted in the research direction of Agricultural Products Drying. From 2016 to 2019, each of State Technological Invention Award, National Teaching Achievement Award and the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award was respectively won once by the staff in these disciplines as the first finisher. In addition, 14 provincial and ministerial level and above achievements were awarded, 16 professional field standards were developed, 7 publications were published by COE staff and 4 major domestic and foreign tasks of design and performance were conducted by COE as the first institution.

COE provides students with a comprehensive training, cultivation and education system. At present, there are 1081 undergraduates. 443 postgraduates, 256 doctoral students and 12 international students. 2 Post-doctoral Stations are set up in COE, covering Agricultural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Meanwhile, COE has the authority of granting both doctoral and master degree of Agricultural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering on the first-level. It also has that of Agricultural Mechanization Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Design and Theory, Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, Mechatronic Engineering, and Agricultural Product Processing and Storage Engineering on the second-level. Furthermore, COE has the authority of granting Professional Master Degree in the area of Mechanical Engineering and Agricultural Engineering and Information Technology. In terms of undergraduate education, there are 2 major categories of Bachelor Degree, one, Agricultural Engineering, the other, Mechanical Engineering, covering 7 undergraduate subjects like Agricultural Mechanization and Automation, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Vehicle Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering and Industrial Design. Agricultural Mechanization and Automation and Vehicle Engineering are two specialties awarded by the Ministry of Education. Meanwhile, in 2018, Vehicle Engineering passed the professional certification of engineering education by the Ministry of Education and was contained in Washington Accord. In addition, 2 courses, including Agricultural Mechanization Production Science and Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering, are contained in National Excellent Courses. Agricultural Engineering is awarded as National First-class Subject and Agricultural Mechanization and Atomization is awarded as Beijing First-class Subject.

Based on the construction idea of ‘enhancing advantages, highlighting innovation, focusing on quality and improving’, COE aims at the international frontier of scientific and technological development, the national key strategies and industrial demand, and has formed distinctive and strong academic impact around the technical equipment and advantageous area such as agricultural mechanization development, dry-land conservation tillage technology and machinery, farmland operation machinery, agricultural product drying theory and technical equipment, agricultural product processing, feed processing and production technical equipment, biomass engineering, precision agriculture, agricultural robot, intelligent agricultural equipment, digital design and virtual reality of agricultural equipment, industrial design. Meanwhile, several key scientific research teams, such as the team for Technical Equipment of Conservation Tillage and that for Agricultural Biological Material Engineering, have been selected into the ‘Innovation Team Development Plan’ of the Ministry of Education and the ‘Outstanding Talents and Innovation Team’ of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Over a few years, COE has not only provided important decision-making consultation for formulating relevant policies and regulations, development plan and industry standards of the country, but also successively made a large number of important scientific and technological achievements. These results have played an important role in promoting the upgrading of both the industry of modern agriculture and the progress of science and technology, having 13 achievements awarded as the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress and above, 2 achievements awarded as the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Invention and more than 50 achievements awarded as provincial and ministerial level and above. In recent years, more than 260 papers searched by SCI and EI have been published per year and more than 190 national patents has been granted, including more than 90 National Invention Patents per year.

COE embraces the concept of ‘people-oriented and talent-strong college’ and takes the cultivation of high-quality talents with innovative spirit and practical abilities as the core goal. Besides, COE focuses on the cultivation of the abilities of both scientific innovation and practice of students and has achieved fruitful results in curriculum construction and teaching reform. It has successively won 2 National Teaching Achievement awards, 5 Beijing First-class Teaching Achievement awards and more than 10 other provincial and ministerial level Teaching Achievement awards. The ‘Teaching Team of Basic Courses of the Series of Mechanical Design and Manufacturing’ won the title of National Excellent Teaching Team. Furthermore, COE performs an excellent ability of practical teaching and innovation training. In the past four years, COE has won more than 200 awards in various disciplines and different scientific and technological competitions, including 2 top awards in China Agricultural Robot Competition, 2 top prize in National Intelligent Agricultural Equipment Innovation Competition for College Students, 3 top awards in American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineering (ASABE) International Robot Competition and a top prize in ‘Challenge Cup’ Academic and Technological Works Competition for College Students in Beijing. The effect of training and cultivation of talents has been widely acknowledged by the society and the quality of graduate employment is generally in the forefront of CAU.

International cooperation and exchanges are increasingly extensive in COE. Close cooperative relations with more than 60 famous universities in more than 20 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Norway, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, Russia, Ukraine and Israel, have been established. Meanwhile, COE has undertaken more than 20 bilateral international scientific and technological cooperation projects, including the Framework Program of European Union, China-UK Program, China-Australia Program, China-Japan Program, China-Belgium Program and China-Poland Program. Furthermore, COE has established a ‘2 + 2’ Joint Training Program for Undergraduates majoring in agricultural engineering with the Department of Agriculture and Bioengineering of Purdue University in the United States. It has also established an ‘International Cooperative Double-Master-Degree Program for Postgraduate Students’ with Harper Adams University in the United Kingdom and an ‘China-US International Cooperative Training Program for 100 Environmental Energy Doctors’ with the University of Tennessee (Oak Ridge National Laboratory of the United States).
